The Town's Bicycle

I'd like to introduce you to your next bike:

Behold! This Klunker is keen for adventure.

Behold! This Klunker is keen for adventure.

Yes, you read that correctly, this Klunker is yours. Think 'town bicycle' - everyone will get their ride.

If you're lucky enough to meet her, she's yours for 3 days. Take her to the lake, shred your local trails, and get rad. But once your three days are up, it's time to set her free. Pass her on to a friend, or a coworker, or even a complete stranger - anyone who will keep her adventure going.

Thanks to Lacy Kemp and Transition Bikes, she arrived in Whistler back in 2014.  We started using #WeKlunk as a hashtag to follow along in her journey, and posted a whopping 4 photos before she got stolen. Who steals a free bike? Jerks.

But then she reappeared with some 'Sketchy looking dudes' on the coast. These guys surpassed the already lenient standards of sketch allowed in the mountain bike community, and a good friend stepped in to intervene. "So, I just stole it back" popped up on my phone which brings us to the here and now. The Klunker is back!

The Whistler reunion!

The Whistler reunion!

Keep your eyes peeled for this bright yellow beast, and use #WeKlunk when you post on instagram so we can follow along too.

She'll need a little love along the way - feel free to repack the hub with grease and lube up her chain. She'll return the favour ;) Feel free to add a sticker, or a note - anything to celebrate your time together and add to her story.

Her adventure starts now, and I can't wait for you to meet her!!
